Contact form and email

When you use our contact form or email us, we process the details you provide: your name, email address, subject and message. We use them only to answer your question and to follow up on it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling enquiries, or, where you ask for a quote or service, taking steps at your request before an agreement.

We keep these details no longer than necessary: up to 12 months after the last contact, unless we start working together, in which case we keep them as long as the legal and tax rules require.

Website statistics

We use Burst Statistics, a privacy-friendly analytics plugin running on our own website, to understand how the site is used (for example which pages are visited). The statistics are used only to improve the site and are not shared with advertising parties.

Security

To protect the website against abuse, we process technical data such as IP addresses in security logs and login-attempt limits. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies that are needed for it to function and to stay secure. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data. We only share it with service providers that help us run the website and handle email (such as our hosting and email providers), under agreements that protect your data. We do not transfer data outside the European Economic Area unless adequate safeguards are in place.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or transfer your personal data, and to object to its processing. To use these rights, email us at info@bern-it.nl. We will respond within one month. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
